Just bought a savage model 10 6.5 creedmoor and was wondering which powder and primers I should start out with. Any load data is appreciated. I have a box 130 grain Bergers that I'm going to start with. Thanks

I have really good luck with 41.5 grains of H4350 underneath a 140 a-max. Solid 1/2 moa load out of my Ruger Hawkeye Predator.. Havent really had time to develop it further. Its the best all around powder for both my dads Creedmoor and mine. He has had excellent luck with Rl 17 as well. He gets about 1/4 Moa with the rl-17

My Cooper likes 40.9 gr H4350 with Fed match primers and Sierra 142 match bullets .020 off the lands. 2'' groups at 500 yds. I can't seem to find any more of the Sierra bullets so I bought some Barnes Match Burner 140 gr to try.

+1 for both rl17 and h4350, 140s just flat out shoot from guns I have seen. Sportsmans warehouse has rl17 right this second online

I also shoot both Rl 17 and H4350 with the 130 gr Sirocco's and 140 SST. And Varget with the lighter bullets 110-120 gr range. My rifle is the Ruger Hawkeye 26"
I haven't shot it for a few months now as I've been up north since January and I'm changing the scope , stock and trigger and want all my components to shoot in the refined LR rifle that I want it to be. Well, general hunting and LR.

Congratulations on getting a Creed btw!!!!!
I have had excellent accuracy with the Hornady factory ammo also. And have up to 9 reloads on some of my Hornady brass with everything still snug and tight. Primer pockets and case necks. Very minimal trimming. , really just a chamfer .

This is what I use

powder...Hogdon H4350
primer....CCI BR2
brass......Hornady
bullets....130 Berger

Exactly what I was thinking to start. What kind of groups do you get and what amount of powder have you found to work the best?

I am running a pretty stiff load so don't jump right to it.
COAL is 2.882 (seated long)
H4350 44.4gr
my BEST group was 3 shots at 100 yds. probably never shoot that group again.
my wife who is not an avid shooter can hold a 5 shot 1/2 in group at 100 pretty easily.
my only complaint is finding the burger bullets is a pain.

good luck.
