Tried the ladder load test with RL-26 for the first time today and getting some numbers bouncing around. Any input is appreciated!

Quick overview of equipment, Gen6 powder dispenser, match grade dies, brand new brass. I inspect each piece of brass and weigh each bullet prior to loading. I check CBTO with Hornady bullet comparator on every load.

Cartridge : 6.5 Creedmoor
Bullet : .264, 147, Hornady ELD-M 26333
Useable Case Capaci: 46.267 grain H2O
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 2.860 inch
Barrel Length : 24.0 inch
Powder : Alliant Reloder-26

Slight pressure signs (extractor marks) after 46 but nothing extreme. (Pic attached - 48.2 is top right)

1 2717 45.8
2 2829 46
3 2841 46.2
4 2822 46.4
5 2874 46.6
6 2844 46.8
7 2871 47
8 2849 47.2
9 2902 47.4
10 2932 47.6
11 2926 47.8
12 2922 48
13 2970 48.2
14 2976 48.4

Thanks for your time in advance!

I've had similar results. Not quite sure what you are wanting to know.

I wouldn't call this a ladder load.

I don't think you can gather any info. shooting only 1 bullet at .2gr difference.

If your wanting to know why heavier loads are slower. Look up barrel harmonics.

Next time our shoot at least 2-3 bullets of same load to have more day to data to gather info.

I single load work up but am with Zen and not quite sure what you are asking for. The one thing that stands out for me with your data is that the vel increase as you worked up is inconsistent telling me that you will not have a good es with this powder. I would change powder.

Sorry guys I should have been more clear. I've used this 10+ single shot ladder load test before and it's worked great. What I'm looking for here is my accuracy node. For example, in RL-16 I found a great flat spot from 41.7 - 42.1 however the pressures were too high. That's when I started researching RL-26. My speeds are much faster now with far lower pressure signs.

From the data provided it would appear my two flat spots are running at 2926/2922 fps (shot 11&12) and 2970/2976 fps (shot 13&14). So my question is, would you guys run with one of those charge loads and fine tune it or keep increasing? My only worry is pressure which I'll admit I don't have a lot of experience with. I feel like the pressure signs in the attached pic are very minimal even all the way up to my hottest load.

Thank you!
