The 6.5-300 Weatherby is factory now. You can get ammo starting at $35.00 for 20 rounds and the premium stuff for around $50Shot one that belonged to a friend quite a bit back in the eighties and nineties. It's a screamer but you are limited to hard to come by and always overpriced Weatherby brass.
I've also shot the 6.5 STW and came within an inch of buying one but got an opportunity to buy a 6.5 LRM that will run 140's around 3400fps.
If that's the kind of velocity you want honestly the 26 Nosler gives you a great factory solution.
If I build another 6.5 screamer I think I'll just go with the 6.5-.375 Ruger. It'll gain me a few grains powder capacity and/or room to seat longer and heavier bullets and the brass is extremely easy to come buy particularly since I shoot the .375 Ruger quite a bit as well.
