6.5-284 Loads

OK guys--I've got my 6.5-284 back from the smith and its time to work up some loads-- I'm planning to shoot 142 SMK's from a 1:8" twist, 28" long Pac-Nor barrel in Lapua brass. Any powder, primer combos for starters would be nice... I have about 2000 Fed 210M primers and some R22, R25, H4831SC, Retumbo, H4350, H414, IMR 7828,H1000, H870 and will soon have some WC872. I don't want to wear my barrel out trying all of them, so you guys give me some starters...Thanks, CJ

I like 48, 49 and 50 Gr of 4831 SC in Mine with the 142 Gr bullet.

I also like 48 and 49 gr of H4350.

Remember, in "MY" rifle it works well. It may not in yours.

Your a $%&(*&# CJ.....

You just had to call last night to rub it in .....
