6.5-06 Information

Does anyone have experience with a 6.5-06 cartridge ?
I intend to shoot BERGER 140 gr. VLD's out of a 26" or 28" barrel on a Remington 700 action .
I have sent a request to BERGER BULLETS for reloading information , and hope to receive a reply soon .

basically the long version of a 6.5x284, uses almost identical powder charges, Imr 4350 start at about 48grains with the bullet jammed unless your gonna feed from the mag. Also Imr 4831 start at about 50 grains same with RE19, start at about 53grns with RE22, i'd use CCI BR-2s or Fed 210Ms, with RE22 you might also try CCI 250s. check your ES.

I have a 6.5-06AI 26" barrel that shoots the 140gr Bergers at 3000fps with Retumbo.

hodgdon has load data for 6.5x284. It's a great starting point for a 6.5-.06. Also reloadersnest.com has a few loads listed for a 6.5-.06. hope this helps.
