50gr Barnes Varmint Grenade, 3010fps, 300yd for Coyote. Yes, no, maybe so? Has about 293ft/lbs of impact energy at 300. Just curious, load was extremely accurate at the range. 50gr Barnes Varmint Grenade, 26gr of CFE-223, #41 primer, LC x 1 brass. COAL was 2.20. Thoughts? I just tried the 36 grain 223. I was shooting prone through some sparse tall grass. They blew up on impact. They never made it to the target. Concerned that there may be very little penetration and another wounded dog. So, I shelved them.
