I'm looking hard a setting up a 50 cal BMG for long range shooting. I have looked at McMillen, Barrett, Noreen, Serbu and a few uppers for my AR. I think I have it locked down to a bolt action but have not decided yet in a repeater or a single shot. If I was looking to keep my total cost under 10 k for a complete setup ready to shoot does anyone have any recommendations?

If I were to buy one I'd go McMillan Tac-50 A-1 R2. The basic rifle is a bit more than your cost threshold. Can't imagine a better package. The R2 recoil mitigation system is an awesome idea to reduce felt recoil by 90%.

This isn't a barrel with a bolt in the rear like some of those single shot cheapies . Five round magazine, takedown features, a LOP spacer system and its own intregral bi-pod.

McMillan TAC®-50 A1-R2
