338 win mag load

I am trying to build load for my Rugger 338win mag using barns 210 ttsx imr 4350 power and federal 215 primers the best group in can get is about 1 inch any thoughts

Welcome aboard.

And, what's wrong with 1". If that's @ 100 that's 1 MOA which puts POI only 0.5 MOA from POA. That is, if all your groups are 1 MOA.

#1 or 77 ?? I've got a ruger #1 in 338 and though she'll have a good day and toss clover leafs with 225's (hdy or accubond) and rl19, all I can really expect is 1" consistantly.

What COL are you running?
Have you tried loading 3 rounds at differing COL's, say .030", .040", .050" & .060" from the lands?
Have you tried the OCW method with your load?

There are many reasons that a certain load combination gets to a certain accuracy level then stagnates, maybe the powder is just not quite correct at that pressure level with that bullet, a change to a better suited powder may help. Your rifle may not like solid copper bullets, but 1" groups are nothing to sneeze at.
I always recommend RE19 with the 338 straight up, it's given the best results in every 338 I've loaded for.

Loaded a Sako, 24" bbl 338 Win Mag yesterday and shot ladder test with couple of different powders and bullets.

The winner was. . . . . .. . . . . . . 74 gr ReLoder 19 and 225 NAB.

100 yd 4 shot group was well under 0.5 MOA. We'll see if she keeps it up during drop chart development.

Runner up was 74 gr RL-19 and Hornady 225 bullet.

+1! My Ruger M77 MKII in .338 Win Mag likes it close to the lands (~.010") and H4831SC at 5000'.
