I just got my .338 RUM and need some load recomendations. I want to use H1000 for its temperature stability, or another Hodgdon Extreme powder. So if anyone can give what their best load for their 338 RUM is that would be awsome (I know to work up and what-not, just want to get an idea of what I'm looking at). I want to shoot 300gr SMK's,but also have 250gr Barnes X triple shock if anyone want to pipe in about those too. thanks for your wisdom.

The same powder and charge weight get me 3024 fps with the Nosler 250 gr PT. Accuracy is .6-.7".

does anyone shoot 300grain SMKs out of a RUM? probably shouldnt have bought a box if they dont work well. ohh well, all I can do is try. anyboby used anything else??? more nosler guys?? anyone with barnes???

I have been using
RL25 90.0gr
3.750" COL
300gr SMK
2792 fps w/28" barrel

all the groups have been 1/2 moa out to 1007yds

I think I could run the powder up a grain or two. But I dont think I will rock the boat.

I would like to see if any one else is using this combo
