And I also plan to order the barrel to turn my 300 ultra to a 338 edge in the next couple weeks.

It's next to impossible to beat the .375 Cheytac for LR and ELR ballistics and there are more and more offerings in .375 bullets coming out every year.

If I just had to have something with more power down range than my .375 Ruger I would definitely be building a .375 CT.

I ABSOLUTLY love my 338 Lapua.... Lapua brass is easy to find and proven to be possibly the best around. Some are getting 10 shots or more per round of brass. I am using the 285gr ELD Match out of a custom rifle and a 27" barrel getting 2859 FPS. I am .5 Gr under max with ABSOLUTLY NO pressure signs!! The Lapua is a proven winner !
