338 Barrel

I have a Bruxs barrel for a lightbulb338 Norma I am building with a 1/10 twist.I know most use the 1/9.3 twist for 300 Gr bullets.How good will the 1/10 twist do with the 300 gr.out to 1K.

I have .338 EDGE barrels with twist rates of 10, 9.5,9.3 and 9. All shoot accurately. I shoot them out to 1400 yds. and can't tell much difference except for a little spin drift. Gary

Thanks Ultraedge just wanted to see who was useing the 1/10 twist to see how well they worked with the 300 gr bullet out to 1k.Had a couple guys tell me they didnt shoot the 300 gr that good that i should have went with a 9.3 twist.

According to the Berger calculator, at 0' altitude and 0° and with a muzzle velocity of 2900 fps, a 300 gr bullet will be stable in a 10" twist.
