Hey guys need some help. I want to build a 338 for long range shooting and hunting. My thoughts were 338-378 accumark with Bob harts accuracy package. Then I found the savage about half the cost. Problem is my brother is getting one. So of coarse mine must be bigger. My goal is to shoot 800 yards, with as much accuracy as possible. I personally like the weatherby round better because of the extra fps, so I'm leaning that way but the price difference makes me think I would be better off with the savage and have a barrel put on in a 338-378 if it is possible. Leaving me with custom barrel of my length and benefits of a custom barrel for about the same as a accumark with the work done. Any advice would help thanks.
