I have some 308 brass that measures in the 2.02 range. can i use this brass or does it need to be trimmed?

I would probably trim them, not knowing how generous the chamber of the rifle is. Impingement of the bullet raises pressure immediately and potentially dangerously.

personally I use the Lee system and always after sizing put the brass through the trim just to be sure that all are the same length

The books list a min and max length, but it is best to keep them at the mean length, this way they aren't short enough to cause a carbon build up in the chamber neck but they aren't long enough to pinch in the chamber. 2.005 min plus 2.015max= 2.010 mean length. That is what I keep my 308 brass trimmed at as well.
