300 rum Brass length??

Ok so I have to ask. I have a 300 rum that I have been loading for and have noticed that most the brass that I get new or not have been below the recommended length of 2.850. Most of my brass is at 2.840 and some of them are at 2.838 - 2.834. So what I am wondering is. Is it ok to trim the brass down to 2.838? When I full size the brass at 2.838 it brings it back to 2.840 but I try to only neck size if possible. Or should I just toss all the brass that is below 2.840?

Trim them all to the shortest length. Its ok that there's some below the trim to length as long as there all the same!

The SAAMI spec is 2.850"-.020".

It's what I've always done and have never had any problems.
