I shoot a 300 WM and I'm looking for load data ( powder type and amount) to give me a load pushing 3000-3150 fps using a Hornady 180 SST. Anyone have a good set of load data to share??

I had a load of 180 Accubond with H4350 for the mild (2900fps) velocity and H1000 for 3000+ fps. I think I could have run the H4350 a bit more but didn't want trouble on a hunt.
They both ran with CCI200 primers without issue.
The H1000 began to get a bit crunchy when seating a full case.

I can't remember the exact powder charges but you can safely work up each if interested.

Just checked my load book.
H4350 was 68.5 gr
H1000 was 78,8 gr.
My chamber freebore was extended but the bullets I used liked a long jump and had a slight crunch with H1000

This was all out of a 24" 10 twist fast barrel.
I have a note of 3.55 COAL for my rifle.

There are several good powders to be used in the 300 WM.
Someone else may chime in with additional load information .

Howdy, I'm a fan of the Alliant powders. This is from the Hornady load book. 👍

Is that with the Horn sst? What fps?

180 Accubond and Partition
My velocity is in post #2.

I think the SST will achieve those speeds a bit easier due to design and with my experience comparing load data in other calibers.

The H1000 and the RL26 are more stable and most likely more accurate than the Superformance powder. If you're dead set on that powder and bullet then just go with it and work up slowly. If however you feel like trying a better than average powder the H1000 and RL26 are very good choices. A charge of 79.3 grains of H1000 will sling a 180 bullet out of the 26" tubes at about 3100 fps and RL26 probably just a tad bit faster and they usually like similar weight charges. Just remember what works in one rifle might not work in yours so work up carefully. Standard primers deserve a look because some 300WM don't necessarily like the magnum primers, mine doesn't with H1000, it prefers F210M. Good luck.

Thanks! I'm not interested in the powder that's in the Superperformace ammo per se. I'm only interested in achieving they 3130 they claim that their factory round produces with SSTs.
I do want to use the 180 SST. I have several good loads in the 2600-2800 fps range but want to push that up some!

Superperformance powder is hit and miss.
Where it works well it may be great but I've read of very few success stories with that powder in any caliber.
The H1000 and others should get you where you want to be velocity wise with SST.
My load data given should get you there since the SST is usually an easy to tune bullet that achieves good velocity easily due to its softer copper construction.

Why not try a box of their loads over chrono first? My experience, hornady ammo is loaded hot! But only tried it in 4 cartridges.
