300 wsm 1000 yrd reloading data

The 185 and 190 Gr. Bergers should get there easily.

I can get to 3050 fps with H4350 and 180 Accubonds in my 300 WSM with 26" barrel

Hi .
I am running 215 bergers in a long action , getting 865 M/S in 26 " barrel.
Load is 67.3 gr Norma MRP 215 federals , coal at 3.15", this is with a jump of 1,1 mm and get's 0.76 moa at 1000yrds.
Works grate.

Hey Luk,

How do these accubonds kill, have you dropped anything with them?

Thanks,
Ed

Yes Ed, I have killed a few elk with them. They work great. I found one that had went through the body cavity, and stopped in the opposite side of the hide, at 340 yards away.

This is what it looked like

This is how they group at 100 yds for me

Thanks Luke, nice groups and nice mushroom. I think I will hone in on some of these in my 300 wsm. Just starting to load for it. Thanks again...

Have you thought of trying the 200gr ELD-X? I finally worked up a great load for it that is sub moa (Clover Leaf). I shoot a Sako 75, so it should be great in your Tikka
62.8gr RL-17, 2.855" COAL, Nosler Brass, WLRM Primer
Haven't put it over the chrono yet, but Hornady published a 2950 fps
It wasn't until I seated it a little deeper and matched Hornady's OAL that it tightened the group up

After a lot of work and experimenting i discovered my pet load for my 300 WSM:

67GR of H4831 (most consistent velocities @ 2860 w/ 8 fps deviation)
185 GR Berger VLD seated at 2.915"

Shoots 1/2 MOA out 1000 yds and have made a first round hit at 1410 yds

Hello I am trying to reload my 300 wsm using 200 grn or 210 grn berger bullets does any one have any load data I could go off of

This is my load work up, hope it helps:
215 Berger
64.2 grains IMR 7828ssc
CCI-br 2 primer
Norma brass
COAL 3.295"
CBTO 2.420"
MV Avg. 2757@85 deg F at sea level
ES 5
SD 2
26" 5R 1:10 twist
I use same powder charge with the 210 SMK with +15 foster w/es of 35

I found when ever I don't reach the velocity I want, I go with high BC and low form factor. If I can get a bullet with a BC above .600 with a form factor of .95 or lower to 2700 fps, it will be a good 1000 yard bullet...

My brother shoots a Tikka T3 varmint in 300 wsm. I load 208gr Amax with imr 4831 and cci 250 primers and federal brass. The rifle shoots very well with this combo

The tikka magazine is very short though and the throat on this rifle is long. So we load them one at a time
