Wondering if someone has quickloads can run this load. I think the H4831sc tends to like heavy for caliber bullets but I was hoping that with this certain application there was no chance of overpressure.

Being at 2.800" there's a good chance that there cannot be too much H4831sc loaded into case to create a dangerous situation.

I recall some of my loads being compressed and safe.

My angle is looking at it from a safety perspective, a safe powder to have on hand, if you crunch a compressed load its still safe, back it down to a full case and no crunch/compression and you've got yourself a handy load. Can still shake cartridge to hear powder.

I think 60gr will fit but I suspect that would be compressed.

Maybe someone could PM me for details on quickload entries.

According to QL, a 100% fill rate load with H4831SC is 52.7 grains (48982 psi and 2784 fps from 26" barrel). See 1st attachment. Max pressure is at 56.8 grains and 108% fill rate. See 2nd attachment. Note that this data is based on a case capacity of 66 grains of H20.

The 66.0 grain is an empty case. The number you're referring to is usable capacity or total minus space occupied by the bullet.

If you go to Nosler's load data site you can see that their max load is 56 gr and is 101% full with a 2.8" OAL
