what powder are you guys using? I am using 150 nosler's. I would like to try 4831sc Ryan

I had good results with IMR-4831 & 150's.
But nothing has come close to RL-19 & 140's out of my 270 Shortmag, & many, many, more. It's a very popular combo for a good reason. If your just doing load development id highly recomend working up that load combo as well.

I have been using the winchester ballistic silver tips and am really happy with their performance so I would like to stick with them. 9 deer and 4 elk over the last 6 years with them and never had to track 1 of them. I was thinking of the 4831sc to try and cut down on all the different powders that I have to buy. Ryan

Ya, you just can't argue with success like that. I'll bet you'll find a good load with 4831sc without much trouble.

If I remember right, I was 61 gr of IMR-4831 with 150's for somewhere real close to 3000 fps. Is have to look it up, but I'm pretty sure that was about what I had.

I have been loving magpro. I have shot 130gr tsx, 140gr hornady sst, and 130 and 140gr nosler BT's. I have been able to get all to shot under .300 at 100yd. with the 130gr tsx being the best of all with 75gr magpro, 130gr tsx .003 of lands, Win WLRM primers, and norma brass. velocity spread is closet of any powder i have tried. 3497-3504 on a 8 shot string. pressure is pretty good on this load but it is just barely starting to crater around firing pin.
Needles to say this is my go to hunting load. gun)
Oh and the gun is a Browning M-1000 eclipse. best gun I have ever shot straight out of the box. I have done absolutely nothing to this gun other than treat it good.
