Keyvan started a thread about the the .270/08 and it got me thinking about another .277 chambering.Firstly ,I like lever guns, have Browning BLR takedown in the .270 win-love it.Browning offers this rifle in the .270 wsm and I have a few concerns about this,1-it has a 22"barrel and 2-this short fat might not feed beautifully 3-I have heard full length resizing can be a little tricky sometimes. The .270 win works great, but just looking for something to experiment with over the winter.Reloder 26 puts the winny in new company 150's@ 3050 fps muzzle velocity.I don't want a long barreled, poor feeding hunting rifle and don't care for belted cartridge cases. This brings me back to the .270/08 and is there a way to drill out the BLR to make this work?

You wouldn't have to "drill" it out but have the barrel pulled, trimmed (at chamber end) and re-chambered to 7mm08. Or you could get with McGowen Barrels, I think they still make and fit barrels for the BLR's.
I have a BLR in .243Win with a 26" light varmint profile. Shoot's great and stacks 90 & 95gn Ballistic Tips on top of each other. :) JohnnyK.
