Have an older Remington 270 in excellent condition I am dusting off for reloading..

Before I get started, what grain Bergers has worked well for you guys?
Looking to start a little up the testing ladder based on your experience..

What has worked well for you?
Thanks so much for the input.

For a 270 but I would look at the classic hunters. They usually are easier to get to shoot and they have higher BC then the standard vld. The 140 classic hunter would be my choice but 130 classic hunter are great too .

I had good results with the 150 HVLD.

55 gr H4831.
Win brass
CCI 200

Not super fast but very good accuracy.

First thing is to determine your actual twist rate then go from there, I've had excellent results from the 150's and 170's.

I have been shooting Berger 140's in my 24" rem 700. Has hs stock bedded, Timney trigger and muzzlebreak. I use 60.2 grains H4831SC. Fed 210 primer 2.845 comparator length. This load shoots 3080 fps and has worked incredible in more than 6 guns. gun)
