Is there something specific you wish to know about the cartridge/rifle(s)?

They have 25 Creedmoors now. Get that instead if you want a .257. No need to fire form the cases.

I've had 2, 25-06 rifles over the years, but have none now...I'm not a fan of Ackley improved cartridges in general. Easier to move up to a larger brass case to fit my needs...but others still go there, and enjoy them, but the endevor seems outdated with all the advanced cartridges available today, to play with, plus the old 257 Weatherby, or a 6.5 PRC necked to 25 cal.

With 257 Weatherby and Vihtavouri N560 powder with a non magnum primer the Bee makes 25-06 AI less credible. With muzzle velocity of 3350 FPS and excellent accuracy it wins hands down.

I have one in 1:7.5 twist

I have an xp-100 in 25-06 AI. I enjoy it and the ai helps in getting 3000fps out of the short barrel but out of a rifle the 25-06 ai is probably the least effective ai cartridge in terms of performance gain over the parent cartridge.

The reason I am asking is I have ended up with some brass that I think is 25-06AI
The left is a regular 25-06 and the right is definitely 25 caliber and is formed from a 30-06 brass

Is the Sherman supposed to be a tiny bit longer?
The ones I have are the same overall length to the 25-06

Yes. and has less taper.
That LOOKS like an AI case you have.
A gunsmith can answer the question with measurements
