22/250 with rl26

Wow I'm shooting a 26" barrel 22-253 with 75amaxes getting right at 3500.

We shoot it in 22-250 AI s with 75 and heavier bullets.

You can start development by using a top end 4350 charge and then work the R26 up from there. A chronograph is very useful also as R26 can give crazy velocities and then all of a sudden show pressure with a slight bit more!

I've been using some 26 in a couple rifles, I've been looking for some actual pressure tested data but have yet to find it. Has anyone seen it anywhere? (and not via QL)

I run some 80gr stuff up to 3400 in this same rifle back in summer, seems to work really good so far.

what powder you running? im building a 24in hope its as fast as this factory 22in, maybe iv just got a fast barrel, iv seen it before

Ya that's darn good with a standard 22-250. I'm getting 3550 with 80s in a 30" barrel with a 22-250AI. That's not using RL26. Been using RL15

I bet u be 3600 with rl26, its fast in everything I run it in, one of my 26in barrel 22/284s runs a 70gr hammer 3925 with rl26.

I can see it working well. By accident I found VV N560 works extremely well with heavier bullets in 22-250 also.

That case is ripe for a slower powder.

Well I might just have to play with it. I tried the Berger 85.5g bullets in my 22-243 with rl26 and it didn't shot as good as my combo of h4831sc and 75g a max
