Looking for a load range as I can't find anything in the hornady app. 22-250 with 73gr or 75gr eld-m bullets and h4350. Thanks

They don't seem to use much H4350 in my experience: the 7mm-08 doesn't show for it either. I just used the powder burn rate chart to get a comparison of burn rates, started low with the closest powder, & rolled on.

Try start at 34.5 gr. with H4350 & 75 ELDM's. My rifles use 35.0 H4350 & AA 4350 with the inexpensive, available, low form factor & pointy 75 HELD bullet.

RL16, a double base powder, might be absolute best for 75 grain .22-250 loads. No RL16 seen lately.

A .22-.250 quick twist with 75's is a much-underrated round & compares favorably (not necessarily better) with many 6mm's & .25's that use more powder & have more blast. Lots of inexpensive zip but not enough momentum to tip over long-range steel or hear nice loud splat sounds. Small rifle primer .22-.250 brass would be much appreciated.

Hornady's manual showed data with the 75 grain Amax and BTHP with H4350. The 75 grain ELD-M isn't that much different.
Minimum is 31.5 grains and maximum listed charge is 37.2 grains. If you start at a low to middle charge and work up, you should be fine. They show data using Hornady cases and WLR primers.

Thanks guys. I was running 73gr eld-m in my .223 for coyote hunting but decided to order a Bergara 1/9 twist 22-250 for a little more speed and power @ distance. I debated the .243 bit ultimately the 70gr range 22-250 looked like what I was after. I just got some nosler brass that's lrp unfortunately I couldn't find any brass that was srp.

I almost went with a fast twist 250 myself- it should be a real nice mannered rifle.

Please share your experiences here.

Haven't got to do much load testing yet but so far with the 73gr eld-m 34.8 and 36.6 gr of h4350 has given me the best 5 shot group. 36.6 gr averaged 3095 fps from my 22" barrel and kept 5 shots just under 3/4"@100yds. May have to try some different powder as I was hoping to be in the 3200 range. My .223 is spitting them out at 2789 and that's with a 20" barrel.
