just bought a heavy barreled savage in 300 win mag.going to work with 180 and 200 grain bullets.i've seen a lot of info and threads about the accubond.what are the ballistic cof of these bullets and how well do they perform at 800 yards?jason

The 180g has a BC of about .505 or so, the 200g has a BC of about .585. Good bullets out of a 300 WM. I shoot the 200g AB out of my 300 RUM at 3200fps and shoots 1.5-2" at 300 yards. I have shot 3 elk with the combo and it is a great thumper. Always leaves 2 holes, great penetration and expansion, as well as accuracy and BC..

H-1000, 75-76.5 gr, start lower work up, blah, blah, blah. Tried R-22, 3450, etc but H-1000 won, hands down in temps 70 deg to 40 deg.

What kind of velocity are you getting with 75 -76.5 grains of H1000 with the 200 grain Accubond?

For a big critter 1200 yards does not leave any room for error for a little gun--better be a heart shot!!
