16.5" 6.5 Creedmoor capabilities

I have run a 16.5 proof 7 twist in a Q Fix for 4 years now. Q full Nelson can.

143gr eldx in a Hornady case. H4350. CCI BR primer. 2550

Faster twist. Heavier bullets going slower. Less drift. Drift is variable. More drop. Drop is fixed. Just dial for drop/distance. Lighter bullets drift more than heavier bullets. Control your variables.

I use it out to almost 400yds here. In the SE we can't usually see that far.

That is exactly why I shoot 147 ELDMs for long distance with the 6.5 CM. Less drift and better groups at distance. Oh, and if one of them happens to hit a deer or a pig at 100 yards… not a good day for them.

Everyday range round is as inexpensive as it gets… within reason.
Lapua Brass. Under $100. On 15th firing and as good as new. @$0.06 ea.
CCI 450s Under $100 and easy to come by. @$0.10
H4350 under $50. 7000/43grains = 160 rounds. @$0.31
147 grain ELDMs Under $36/100 = $0.36
Brings it in for at $0.86 / round
