150 grain 30 cal SMK on deer????

I'm working on loads for my 308 LTR, I've tried 150 & 168 SMKs and 150 and 165 Nosler Ballistic Tips.....so far, at 100 yards, the rifle seems to prefer the 150 grain SMK at 2725 fps over the other bullets......I'm still planning further tests at longer range with the 168 SMK and the 165 BT, but I was wondering if anyone has used the 150 SMK on deer size animals at 308 velocities???

I'll be trying all the loads at ranges out to 600 yards, but would restrict shots at deer to absolutely no more than 500 yards and, most likely, no more than 400......

Any advise??

gh,i know a fellow that has a ruger ultra light in 308.could not find anything that would shoot in it but 150 smk's.dont know velocity.it performed very well on a buck at 75 yards.
