127gr. Barnes LRX in a .260

45.5 grains of H4350, Lapua Brass, CCI 250 primers. right at 2900 FPS
Sako 85, 22" barrel

Start lower, work up. Sako's like hot loads, so don't start where I'm at.

I have a load with Superformance. I Don't have it written down with me now. I have been using 6.5 Creedmore data to get a starting load with the 260 since they are almost identical case volume. Sometimes I have to adjust up or down a hair on starting load depending on how each bullet fills the case capacity wise. I will post up the load when I remember to check my load records.

I shot a small buck using a rifle with a muzzle velocity about 3,250 per second. The buck was no more than fifty yards away. The bullet hit the shoulder joint going in There was about a 2 1/2" diameter hole going into the ribs. Needles to say, it dropped at the shot.
