1100 finish removal

Wondering if anyone here has ever taken the finish off a Remington 1100 ? If so what seems to work the best . I've tried a few different removers and nothing seems to touch the Remington finish .Any help will be appreciated . Thanks

I use the green scothbrite pads. It is wipe and back to bare metal.
