BSF barrels: the good, the bad, and the ugly

Who has a BSF barrel? Pros and cons of yours. I have one on my short action 6.8 western and it will hammer .5" or better 5 shot groups all day long with factory ammo BUT I could not get a good reload worked up for it. I tried 4 different powders and 2 different bullets and have up. I'm happy either way. Anyone got one in 22 creed? Or anyone have an issue with one they've had?

I worked up a 22 Creedmoor load for my neighbor (serious coyote hunter) who had/has a BSF barrel on a Tikka action….IIRC, 16" in length. Shot just fine with good 'ole H4350 and the 77gr Berger OTM.

I have 3 all in different 6.5 chambers and they are as good as any barrel I have had. They are all very easy to get clean, don't walk through 5 shots and are very easy on load development. They also have the advertised twist and have produced expected velocities. mine have been great barrels.

I only have their AR barrels. The issue I've experienced is op. Needs l9ts of weight behind it.

I've got one on an AR chambered in 6 ARC. Still new, as we only have 50 rounds on it. Seemed to clean up as good as any during break in. My 12 year old son has shot several half MOA groups at 100 with factory Hornady Match 108 ELDMs. Time will tell us more, but so far I've been impressed with the rifle, as I'm not an AR guy at all.
