I see these rifles for sale but never in person or a range review. Anyone here have experience with one? Proof Elevation rifle.

I have a Proof Elevation in 300 PRC. It's a very nice rifle and shoots great. Half moa with a couple of different bullets. A little short in the mag box of the box magazine of the standard rifle. Not enough length to seat a 215 berger right off the rifling. I've shot a handful of other bullets through it with no issues with seating length. I know six other friends with elevation rifles and they all shoot great. A couple have the MTR model and the like them. The detachable magazine on the MTR gives you a little more seating depth option.

Thank you. They are very intriguing. Some of these semi-custom factory guns make not getting a $5,000 custom an easy choice.

They are good, Im not sure the value is there, but the two I have had experience with are good. The owner of the 300 WM had a CA that was a turd, the shop he bought it at took it back and gave him credit toward the Elevation.
The other is a 308 a friend bought used, he is pleased, I have witnessed it shooting .75" five shot groups on the regular with Nosler ammo. He prefers it over his Horizon.
With the Proof Elevation you get a Zermatt action and a Proof Barrel and stock, TT trigger. A pretty solid line up of entry level components.

I have shot two. Both were 1/2MOA rifles with a little load development. Both light. Nice fit and finish.

Thanks gents, I have a Horizon Carbon Venatic in 7mmPRC and I love it. This Proof looks like its just as good. Looking at the .25 Creedmoor to make a middle sized gun.

I launched the brand from 2010 to 2017. Was on their initial pro staff and shooting team. Lived through the early years of "the barrels suck and they do not shoot" and left the company after taking a beating for 7 years.
New CEO - vision has been consistent for the past 6-7 years. Products have been consistent and glad they turned it around for the people who work there. They have some of the best technology available, period dot.
FYI - for background. Owned by a multi-billionaire. Bought 5 companies and put them all together with the goal of winning a huge military contract (billions) at some point. Hasn't happened outside of Spec Ops, which I know a lot of guys run their stuff. PRS runs them but mostly steel barrels due to mirage under high rates of fire for bolt guns.
I still run a few barrels from them and have a couple of the original defiance PROOF actions from back when I started. Have rebuilt them into a couple of things.

used one for a good while now, killed a bunch of animals with it. mtr elevation for me, they're a Bighorn origin marked proof action, proof cf barrel, assuming proof cf stock, trigger tech field trigger, Hawkins bottom metal.
my barrel had a super deep, think 1/2" deep, crown and less steel exposed on the chamber end than proof says to have with their barrels so maybe it was a barrel that had issues and got corrected and reused since it's the entry level gun, also vendor/employee order, never seen another like it from them. field trigger wouldn't go to advertised 2.5# but it got replaced anyway, thought I wouldn't like the mtr stock but it grew on me a bunch not sure I'd like the standard elevation grip and it can be slick if it's wet out. had the standard gooped/bedded recoil lug area and pillars. Hawkins metal was good as always, would have preferred the hunter dbm so it didn't stick out the bottom but is what it is and the standard elevation is bdl so wouldn't have that issue.
that said it's boringly accurate with everything I've put through it and has fed everything without issue. farthest it's shot is 1k and had no issues but as light as they are they can make you work for it. If you can't get the parts and build it yourself for what the proof gun runs I'd have no issues getting one, at full msrp I'd think you could put together a nicer one if you found some sales on parts

I have a Proof Glacier TI in 28 Nosler and I have a friend that has one in 300 PRC. Both of them shoot lights out and when I say that I mean LOT's of targets in the .3 range with variety of loads. I believe bare rifles are under 6 lbs.
For a "factory" rifle, lightweight and accurate AND in stock they're right there with a full custom.
I've killed a pile of things with the 28 and couldn't be happier with the rifle.

I've been thinking about a rifle in 6.5 PRC and have had my eye on a Seekins PH3 M3 but there sure seem to be a lot of complaints about them on the internet. I have a Proof .308 that is a solid rifle and the action is very smooth. Thinking about another Proof.

I have been playing around with the 6mm ARC recently in gas guns and I like the cartridge. So I got a Howa Mini bolt gun in 6mm ARC. I am not entirely happy with the Howa (difficult bolt lift), but I do like the cartridge. So I got to thinking. Oh well, I just bought a Proof Research Elevation 2.0 MTR in 6mm ARC. My kid's inheritance will now be smaller. And, to justify the bolt rifle, I will probably have to reload for 6mm ARC too. Oh, and I also bought a Seekins Element M3 6.5 PRC. Sorry kids!
