Hello grouse,
I sure like them.
They are very predictable with my Shooter app and did not have to correct the BC provided. Did some cross canyon rock shooting just shy of 1000 yards over in the Elkhorns to test out.
As for game, they so far have been pass throughs on everything. The exit holes at smallest are baseball sized and the largest are softball sized. Most have been high lung, below spine, ribs only for bone. A couple went through shoulders and one through backbone; Broke the far shoulders and cut the spine in half. Distances have been from 42 yards to 807 yards. A few DRT, broken bones all went right down, and high lungs some ran a little bit and some went down.
As far as reloading, had a some trouble with Redding seating stems and the BDBL2 kept getting firmly stuck in them. Several conversations with Redding and several different of their stems, plus buying a higher end Redding die set, did not solve the problem. Neither did trying to dremel the shape into the stem. Then, gave a RCBS Matchmaster 338 Lapua seating die a try. The Matchmaster worked extremely well, no stuck bullets and runout is usually is .001-.003". Never had to play with seating depth either.
I sure hope someone gets them back into production.
Cheers
