Highly recommend Tri County guide service in Pantego NC.
The people and hospitality are second to none and the bear hunting is unbelievable, you won't be disappointed.
I passed up over 50 bears and finally got an opportunity at this bear which weighed in at 581 lbs.

GREAT Bear! BIG Head. Din't know that there were that many bears next to the coast. Would have thought more NW of the State.
In your first picture the background looks like some place in Asia.
What is your rig and cartridge?
What kind of mount are you doing?

NC coastal areas have LOTS of big bears. I have two farms, one on each side of Pantego that are loaded in bears. Lots of crops, thick woods and mild winter (meaning no hibernation) equals lots of bears and some really big ones.

I just took a look at their web site. They don't list a cost for the hunt or the duration. Could you provide some particulars? I assume that food and lodging are included; correct?

Congratulations on a bruiser bear! 50 bears is a incredible number of bears to see.

This bear was killed a little SW of where OP hunted.

Monster black bears posted here. Maybe Tri County Guide Service will be at SCI this weekend. Now I am going to have to go.

When I first started researching for a bear hunt for a record class bear I was looking in British Columbia Vancouver Island, after trying to figure the logistics of traveling to Canada. I finally messaged one of the best bear taxidermists in the world, I asked him, if you had one chance to hunt bear where would you go? He sent me the guides phone number for Tri County guide service!

There are massive reed beds along some of the pines that they call home.

My rifle is a Remington 700 with Manners T5A stock with a NF 12-42 x56 scope chambered in 300 WM.

I'm getting this bear full body mounted by Artistic Wildlife Expressions.

The taxidermist actually uses the heads of Grizzlies for the large black bears.
