My and dads first bears Dads is 125 lbs from va Mine is 500 from same area and same mountain. I shot mine with a 6.5 creedmoor with 124 hh One shot double lung complete pass through. Dad got his with 3006. He's making a rug im getting a half life mount.

I have only killed one and that was enough, It was the hardest thing I
have ever skinned in my life and I have skinned a bunch of critters .
He weighed just over 500 pounds.

I like to see the bears get thinned out a little.

Yep. So far made some chilie and some burgers Even mixed with venison burgers. Tasty
