You nailed it completely! Lab was very under handed here. They should have come out with a clearance price for their DINOSAURS and openly launched with their new product with pride....now they just look sneaky and GREEDY! Makes me wonder which companies idea was LEAKED OR STOLEN! Timelines and size seem far too coincidental....extreme changes to existing equipment design.... especially for Lab....oh well good for the industry!

I have a 6 5 PRC barrel too for DT, I want to see how much shift there is on my 6.5 PRC with 153.4 Bergers and compare it to my 338 LM with 300 Bergers at 300 / 400 yards. This sounds like an interesting experiment for this Sring.

Just a 6.5mm Creedmoor I'm learning and just started 600yrds at local club. Now Reloading and trying to get a good load there 144berger LRHM and H4350. The Tikka has a slow barrel likes the 2,600fps range so far. Next step better glass with second focal plane. The Athlon is nice clear and tracks… but to busy and at zoom the lines are too busy

That's how I purchased mine. I had signed up to be notified on eurooptics. Placed then order when I received the notification and it was delivered 3 days later.

The "standard" is true velocity, which we can only approximate via our best measurement procedure. That's why the truing process is so critical. Or, run along side the bullet and time yourself for comparison......

Magnetospeeds have always been a Macgyver wet dream to set up, work with. Labradar was a great improvement. Here, we have the next improvement iteration in the Garmin. One can only bet there will another improvement just over the horizon. Technology marches on, builds upon itself.

There are a couple of ways I can think of, both of which I have tried and found to agree with each other within 1 fps while the Labradar off by 8-10 fps. Sorry, I do not own a Garmin so I have no idea how it will compare.

1. Oehler System 89. I own one and use this for my testing.
2. A high speed camera. I used a Phantom T2540 for my test

But again, if you are going to bring up the "for the price" or "convenience" argument, I guess I will not argue further.

I still own all three. Imho, the Garmin is by far better than the other two. I shoot LR and they get used almost every time you shoot. The shooting area is full of "stuff". Eliminating cables, battery packs, and a big orange box really helps.

Cause the standard is what I say it is!

I ordered one off scheels a few days ago. Just got it. Easy to setup. If it works as well as everyone says I'll take the convenience over a v3. I also have drive my *** off to shoot LR right now so time is money. It's real slick so far.

I broke my mag speed bayonet with a stray bullet and cant really see paying them $140.00 for a new one. So my plea is does anyone want to part with theirs real cheap since they have a new Garmin? Asking for a friend

Shot a NRL 22 match today where there were 2 Garmins to play with.

Bench mounted on tripod: easier than blowing your nose, worked every time (suppressed and non-suppressed), no interference from other rifles.

Weapon mounted: produced several erratic numbers but shooter was able to delete the bad numbers. Believe it is from the shock/vibration. Only a a very heavy .22lr so not sure how well this would work on a center fire. Will need to see as more people use them weapon mounted. Admittedly, Garmin does not say it is suited for weapon mounting. I recall the new LR being marketed as weapon mountable.
