I solved that problem by using this NOE Expander Plug in a LEE Universal Neck Expander Die.
It works just like a Lyman "M" die, but it is available in a wide variety of sizes. Bullet run-out has been minimized as it inside neck expands while aligning the entire neck at 90* to the base of the case.
It works for me, loading 12 different calibers.
So is the result now better because of less neck tension or chamfering?
 
Look at post 78.
If you had .001 neck tension like you swore you had, then you wouldn't have needed a .307 expander. The inside of the neck would have already been .307. Learn to measure accurately. If I were you, I'd get rid of those Mickey Mouse dial calipers and get a good set of 0-1" micrometers and learn to use them.

If you would've looked at post 17, you would've seen that my expander ball was measuring .3055". So with a .308" billet you should be using a ball that expands the case to .307". Interesting that once I switched to that I quit having issues.
 
I was just joking with you, glad the expander balls worked out.
Should've thrown an emoji or something in there. Hard to tell when people are joking through text sometimes. 😁. To bad ADG didn't post something that their necks tend to be tighter, might have saved some hassle.

If you want to measure OD and ID more precisely since you have multiple expanders you can work with now, 1" mics aren't prohibitively expensive. I got my set when I started turning necks, I used regular calipers with bushing dies and they worked fine.

Thanks making me think I need more stuff now. 😂. Is there such thing as to much reloading stuff?
 
Neck thickness 0.015"
OD is 0.335"
OD with bullet is 0.336"

Again, if your neck OD was .335 and your loaded round neck OD was .336 then that is .001 neck tension. Learn to measure accurately. You can't expect someone over the internet to completely solve your issues if you give bad information and then act like nobody is reading your posts and think they're all idiots.

I never asked anyone to completely solve my issue, I asked for suggestions. Than the general consensus was neck tension and it made sense to me, so that's what I went with. I'm not sure why your stuck on the 0.001" difference, other than to pick a fight, that's what my calipers told me, sorry I didn't take a picture and show you, next time I load up some rounds I will take pictures of what the calipers read. I never made any assumption that anyone was an idiot, just some posts we redundant of what was already explained and covered.
