I'm having trouble finding a 5/8-24 muzzle brake that can be turned down to the diameter of my barrel (0.71") anyone know of any brakes that can be turned to this small of a diameter? If not do you know of any effective smaller brakes? This will be used on a 300 prc hunting rifle.

The reason is it makes the walls of the brake too thin and it will fail. .710"-.625" for 5/8" threads = .085"/2 = .0425" per side. I have to reduce the through hole in my .750" Baby Beast brakes to prevent them from failing. It makes things just too weak to go smaller.

You'll be better of using a bit bigger brake anyway for efficiency...it should still be able to tapered down for a "seamless" look but the brake itself will have to be bigger than your barrel diameter.
