Looking to get a new set of bino's. I currently have Nikon Monarch 10x42. About 7/8 years old.
I am wanting to get a new set of bino's. I have been looking at 10x42 vortex. Either the Razor HD's or the UHD.
I am looking this direction because I can get a deal. Is there something better for a similar price point I should be looking at.
Most of my hunting is done here in Michigan for whitetail. I have however started going west for elk, mule deer and bear. I plan on making this a yearly adventure.

Edit to add want to stay under $1500. I have access to some discounts through work.

Thanks

I got the vortex 10x and wish I had gone with 8X. Very clear everything good to go with Vortex but sounds like some good advice above too...

I picked up the Leupold BX-4 pro guide HDs and have been blown away with how good the glass is. Mine are 12x50's, I compared them to a buddy's razors and we both felt like my Leupy's were brighter in low light.

I agree my father has a pair of 12s and I was impressed.

I use Leica, I use a couple of different models, but for the money, these would be something I'd look into. Of course, it's in the eye(s) of the beholder.
Leica Trinovid 10 X 42 HD

Leica Trinovid HD's, GPO Passion HD's, Meopta MeoStars, Kowa Genesis, Zeiss Conquest HD's are all excellent optics. It would be our pleasure to discuss differences and what might be best for you with you. Please feel free to give a call, 516-217-1000.
Have a great evening
Doug

RH1776: Big difference between Meopro and Meostars. You ever compared Meostars to Swaro SLC? I have, side by side at different times of day and different lighting in real world hunting conditions. I actually preferred the Meostars. I am sorry you spent the additional eight hundred bucks and feel inclined to defend such.

yeah, I had the Meopta binos, which I sold because they disappointed me, and still have a few thousand bucks worth of their scopes which I do like. I also currently own Leica ultravid HDs, and the Swaro EL's and CL's. So if you think your Meoptas are as good as Swaros, then good luck with them. They probably are as good as the CLs. A lot of people who buy decent middle of the road glass talk it up by saying that it is "almost as good" as the best. You get all kinds. I know a guy who swears his 1970's Redfield is brighter than a zeiss.
