Schmitt & Bender feedback

I have noticed over the years with PRS components, scopes, barrels, actions, etc.... It drastically changes somtimes. Like with barrels. Lots of those guys were running krieger several years back. Then it went to only a handful running them. Now alot of guys went back to krieger. I have no Idea how to quantify that information. Obviously if the top contenders are using a component, it must work great. If they are not using a certain component, I guess that doesn't necessarily mean it don't work great.

Here is a good link that shows they don't always win.

I don't think that graph helps your point unless I'm reading it wrong. Looks like more people are in the 1-10 category for prs with S&B by a large margin. With nightforce having the overall popular vote.

So people like nightforce but more people placed first by a large margin with S&B

At that point I highly highly doubt it's just the scope. Could be rifle, ammo, availability to be able to practice. Correlation does not mean causation!

Well it could be the top shooters in prs according to the graph roll with s&b. Ammo and practice is a given if you ever seen what it takes to place in prs. Which is still correlation I believe if top shooters are using s&b. I just don't know if the graph includes local or national.
I'm just interpreting what it looks like the graph says...And I still think it's crazy this is still being debated.

I think people now should know at this point that it's still possibly the best scope ever made. The only people who argue against, never extensively played with one or doesn't own one or in other words not intimately familiar with.

If you don't want to spend the money on it for whatever your reason then don't. Or if you have a hard time thinking things out there might be better than your favorite line of scope then cool. Stick with that. There's plenty of other good scopes out there. If you don't like the complexity of the warranty go get a vortex. No big deal peeps.

That's the only argument against SB is "can I afford it?" Lol

If a fellow has the money for an S&B and wants one, go for it. He probably won't be disappointed. If the same fellow only has enough for a $1100-$2000 scope, I doubt he would be disappointed with it either. If I happen upon a large sum of unexpected cash, I will let you guys know how the S&B works out.

Here's another valid argument against them: They are too heavy for my application. Unless they have a 5-25X50 weighing no more than twenty-four ounces.

By the way, the best glass of any scope I ever compared with side by side was a S&B.

No, chances are a person might not need a scope like that. I got a swfa as well, vortex products, Weaver tactical, ior valdada, etc.
on other rifles I have eotech, trijicon, holosun, etc. so it really should always be application based and with how much I was willing to put into each build for what reason.

Ha Ha I love getting the fan boys all worked up!
I'm sure they are top tier optics. Can I afford one yes will I ever own one probably not they are a bit to heavy for my hunting style.So... I will probably never own one of the "very best"
But then again I will probably never own a Ford truck which is the "Very Best" or A corvette the "very best" sports car ever!
I'm sure in this life most of what I own won't be the very "best" according to some people.

I've found out over the years that I don't need the very best. Sure I would take the very best but not when the cost infringes on other things that count for so much more in life. Having something that I am happily content with is just as good as having the very best. I'm going right now to buy a rifle for a teenager that doesn't have one to give him as as surprise. He don't have much. He sure likes shooting my long range rifles. So, I could have put that money towards a more expensive scope but I will get a whole lot more enjoyment that will last a lot longer than any scope would when I give him that rifle.
