There are a few others, but you may have to double check to make sure they are still in business. Some outfitters seem to stay in business a long time, and others seem to sell their areas after being in business for only a few years.
I have seen several posts where people have booked with an outfitter, and their area changed hands before their hunt. I guess it could be hit or miss if that were to happen, depending on the new outfitters knowledge of the area, their ability to retain the previous owners guides, etc.
I did read an article a while back where the hunter contacted his outfitter, only to find out the business had been sold and the new owner knew nothing about the hunter being booked. Fortunately, the outfitter still honored the agreement.
Definitely read the fine print before you sign! Ask for a lot of references, both successful and unsuccessful. I think repeat clients really say a lot about the quality of the service too.

That's a shame. I had heard some good things about them!
He is still hunting Bighorns in Alberta. I see him at team roping jackpots, and worked for him.
I don't know he sold to, his brother is an outfitter in the Northwest territories- Dall's sheep

I priced Stone sheep at DSC this year...I need a Rocky and Stone to complete my slam--and If i don't draw that dang Rocky i don't think that stone is going to happen. $45k "ish" is a wad of cash...good luck, in your quest--post pics so i can live vicariously though you guys...

There seem to be a TON of outfitters in BC when compared to the Northwest Territories for example. Do BC outfitters not have exclusive concessions like the outfitters do in NWT?
Yes they territories are exclusive. Contact GOABC, this is the outfitters association in BC.
I will add, I have only worked for outfitters and never hired one.
If and when I hunt Desert sheep I will have to and then deal with the uncertainty of the hunt. A friend finished his slam with a Desert in Mexico.He was happy but the ram wasn't exceptional.

It's amazing all of the different species that are found in BC. Jealousy would be an understatement!
Dennis, it is pretty amazing...now if those Mexicans would swap a few Rocky mtn Bighorns for Deserts...I should speak with them. There are California Bighorns in the Okanagan and Fraser Canyon country also. Stone's are the most numerous and the best hunt these days.

From what I have heard there are a few Fannins and Dalls in the Northwest corner of the Province, so you have the opportunity at 5 of the 6. Not to mention caribou, Mt. goat, whitetails, mule deer, buffalo, two species of moose, two species of elk, Mt. lions, wolves, black bear, and hopefully someday Grizzlies. Almost makes you want to migrate north, or at least become a dual citizen!

Hi Dennis, Blacktail deer on the coast as well and coastal Grizzlies- extremely large Grizzlies. Our mountain bears are smaller but prettier. Dall's are draw .
