Looking at doing a full bull contour on a 7saum long action build? Anyone else running this contour?

Yup, got a 28 Nosler 28" bolted to a Defience Hunter action, 4 port beast brake, sitting in the Manners EH-1A topped with Burris XTR II and Burris signature rings, Jewel trigger. She weighs in at 10.25 pounds. My first Proof barrel and I can say it has been the easiest and cleanest barrel break in I've ever had.

What kind of speeds are you getting?

Pretty light loads so far for the break in. I threw together 20 rounds just to break in and did but much effort into the handloads as it was just to break in. In was super impressed, 85.2 gr of RL33 pushing Berger 195s at 3,027 MV off the lab radar and had an ES of 11. I thought that was impressive for a new barrel and 20 rounds thrown together. I didn't double weight the charge nor did i weigh and match cases. It took 5 rounds to get on the bullseye at 100 yards, cleaning barrel after 1st, 3rd and 7th rounds fired. After getting zeroed between barrel cleaning rounds 7 through 13 you could cover with a quarter. No pressure signs at all and as mentioned they were light break in loads. Funny thing is I didnt plan on running this rifle much over 3,000 fps anyway.

That's impressive. Building a 7x300 with a proof 28" soon. Hoping to get 3050 with R26

Absolutely as soon as your projectile leaves the barrel environmental conditions will effect it.

I wanted a bull barrel 28" long with 1:8 twist in 284 cal. Proof told me to stream line production they only make the bull barrel 24" long, 1:8.4 twist in .284 cal. I was told this last week
