6mm Sierra 110gr Matchking...

Been asking about the 110gr Matchking various places and it would seem it's been putting together quite a resume as a big game killer. One and done on deer, black bear and even elk! And no one is coming close to the speeds I'm hoping to launch it to :D
You wouldn't by any chance be doing a 6mm ss would you?

Funny none of those reports have been on here. I'm personally not going to use them other than target and varmints. I've been learning more and more that most match/target bullets can be awesome or terrible for big game. I'm personally not using anymore match bullets for big game unless 30 cal or bigger. I've had great luck with 95 grain Berger classic hunters out of my slow (1:10) twist 6 Ackley for deer.

I can say with certainty that it isn't an SS.....rich
Must be the original long action design? You need to quit all this rich. I don't need another gun but all these Sherman and ss threads sure try to convince me otherwise... I've always kinda liked being a little different and avoided the 6.5's merely for their popularity which is why I built a 270 Sherman. Going on the other side of it to a 6 sounds pretty intriguing as well. I don't mean to hijack as I know nothing of the 110 in question but I'm certainly intrigued by the chambering pushing it.

If y'all are interested in checking out what that 110gr Matchking is capable of and are on FB, go check out the thread I started over on Wildcats In Custom Rifles page. There's pics of animals and stories or performance. It would seem this bullet is a performer on big game!

I'm not on facebook. What is "Wildcats In Custom Rifles page"? Is that something on Facebook? I would like to see some 6mm 110gr stuff....

Completely spaced on adding the information I promised, so here we go, 6 months later =)

"Whitetail, Axis, Pigs, Sika, Aoudad, Blackbuck, Angora. You name it. From 50-920 yards. Aoudad are as tough as nails... I wouldn't hesitate to shoot an elk... Depends on where you hit'em of course... Armpit, neck & head... No bullet recovery but a quartering away armpit shot does the trick every time... He'll be dead, he just won't know it right away "

" Yep worked awesome for 2 whitetail deer and a cow elk, out of a 243 Ackley at about 300 yards 1 shot 10 steps and she was done!" ~2900fps

"6slr with 110grsmk. Blew through both front shoulders at 300 yards. 3080fps Also killed two other does at 700, 730 yards with the 6x47 at 3000fps. Every bullet expanded and acted like a Berger. " *See buck in picture*

"My 6-06 would have to disagree with the statement about matchkings not killing big game mine has taken numerous elk beyond 400yards and they always died within 20yards of where they were shot."
