Went to the range the other day trying to get a few more rounds down my barrel (52 rounds). This was my 100 yard target which measured 3/8" or .375. I shot 2 other 5 shot groups @ 220 yards, both measured at about one inch. I think they could have been better, but I had a few operator errors! Lol! I was cleaning w/Bore Tech Carbon Cleaner between each group!

My load was:
Bullets: Berger 140 Grain Hybrid Match (.618 BC)
Brass: Lapua 6.5 x 284
Powder: 49 Grains - H4350
Primers: Federal 210 Match
Velocity: 2925 FPS

Well I finally got out to a 1000 yards this morning! We started off at 600 yards and then moved back to 1000.

This was 600 yards/10MOA/730AM/33 degrees. Gun was cleaned prior to shooting today. Cleaned for carbon (w/boretech) with wet patches only before going to 1000.

This was my first time shooting at 1000!

This was 1000 yards/24MOA/830AM/43 degrees. I pulled my 4th shot high out of picture.

Cleaned for Carbon (w/Boretech) wet patches and nylon brush after this group.

This was 1000 yards/25MOA/915AM/43 degrees

I added 1 MOA up and 1MOA Left from my last group. The wind and mirage were picking up greatly! First 4 shots were up and to the right. Next 4 shots were to the left. These 8 shots were fired somewhat quickly, long enough to pull the target down and back up again, and then reacquire my sight picture.

Overall:
I wasn't looking to correct for wind, just see how this load grouped at these ranges. I made no adjustment for spin either. Looking back, I would have shot earlier in the morning and slowed my rate of fire down a little bit. My next 30 rounds, I will be tipping the bullets, and seeing how those do. IMO, my first 1000 yard group was the best. I need to make a few adjustments and improvements to try and tighten things up. I am very happy with the load, as I had very little vertical with my first group.

I'm going out tomorrow to try the CCI BR2s out with my previous load! The other change made was the bullets were tipped! I will be shooting 600 and 1000 yard! Ill get a report and photos up ASAP!

600 Yard Target
Conditions: 550AM@68 Degrees
MOA: 9.75
Group: 6"

My load was:
Bullets: Berger 140 Grain Hybrid Match (.618 BC)
Brass: Lapua 6.5 x 284
Powder: 49 Grains - H4350
Primers: CCI BR2

Little high, thought it would do better than 6" @600yards. First time with the BR2s. Vertical looks good! Cleaned for carbon after this group, off to a 1000yards.

1000 Yards Group 1
Conditions: 650AM@68 Degrees
MOA: 23.25
Group: 5.1"

My load was:
Bullets: Berger 140 Grain Hybrid Match (.618 BC)
Brass: Lapua 6.5 x 284
Powder: 49 Grains - H4350
Primers: CCI BR2

Group looks decent, but curious why my 1000 yard group is better than my 600 yard group. Ballistic was calling for 23.25 up and I added .75 left. Again, vertical looks good. Barrel was cleaned for carbon and dried prior to firing.

1000 Yards Group 2
Conditions: 730-800AM@68 Degrees

My load was:
Bullets: Berger 140 Grain Hybrid Match (.618 BC)
Brass: Lapua 6.5 x 284

***, not certain what happened. Left the 23.25 moa in there for the federals. Wicked high! Left dirty trying to see if things would tighten up!

1000 Yards Group 3
Conditions: 730-800AM@68 Degrees
MOA: 22.25

My load was:
Bullets: Berger 140 Grain Hybrid Match (.618 BC)
Brass: Lapua 6.5 x 284

Vertical looks good. Took a moa out and it came down. Again dirty barrel. Wind wasn't a factor all morning. A little haze a times.

140 Hybrid on the bottom/140 VLD on the top. I want to see how the VLDs do at 600 or 1000 yards! I can't decide which range to test these at! I can't do both, one or the other! Contains: 49 grains H4350, Lapua Brass, and Federal 210M.
