SEC. Champs.

I think Texas is in at 4 too; they beat Alabama, don't see how the committee gets past that. Both squeaked through a few games. As did Washington.

Well could be the first year the sec does not get in the playoff. Fsu is an undefeated conference champ. I get it without their qb they are not likely to win even a semifinal game but how do you punish those kids for that. Also Texas beat bama at home. On the field results should matter.

The committee knows what will happen if Bama gets in. Pretty much the same thing that has happened in the past when they barely made the number 4 spot. Was Kirk Herbstret blow a gasket again.

Milroe isn't the shaky QB he was then. His 1st big game as a starter against a four year QB who had a great game. Plus having two TD,s called back.

This discussion is a great reason to expand the playoff to more teams. Everyone can have a bad game, while some with a 100% win record play a high percentage of nobodies…..tremendously helping their win record! memtb

I agree and as a die hard Buckeyes fan, I feel the pain again this year.

And as much as I dislike the SEC, I have to agree with Bama and Ga ranking higher than Ohio State. Because the Buckeyes didn't play in a conference championship.

Just one question, How many of the other conference champions would make thru the 9 game SEC season un-defeated? None of them would want to play Alabama, Georgia, or Missouri!
Lets not forget bama needed a prayer last second play to beat a 6-6 auburn team. The sec is down this year. The acc is 6-4 against the sec. I'm an sec guy but head up matters. Texas should be in over bama. Fsu is the question mark.

Big Ten would have been fine making It through the SEC season. Strength of schedule would go to Ohio State and Michigan this year versus what Georgia had to deal with

A very good argument "for" more than 4 teams in a playoff system! That would help, though not completely, eliminate many of the questions as to whom is deserving! memtb

Could say the same about the Pac 12 this season, outside of the obvious Washington and Oregon, Oregon State, Arizona, Utah, and USC were all tough teams.

The only thing I worry about with the expanded playoffs is the tole on bodies. Most of these guys don't have NFL bodies. I know the lower divisions do it, but that's a way different level of play.
