Best factory ammo for my girlfriend's 6.5 CM

Where I'm living now, I don't have the space to set up my loading equipment. Anyway, I got her a rifle I knew she could handle, being that she is new to rifle shooting. Plus, it has a ton of options. Any of you that know me, know I like heavy for caliber bullets.

So I'm thinking the 140 Tipped Game King, Nosler 140 Accubond, or the Barnes 127 VOR-TX. I see S&B has a 156.

Shots will be 150 yards tops for her. So maybe I shouldn't worry about the bonded stuff? Heck, I dont know, I been out of the game for quite some time now. Im scope shopping too....fun
I have had good luck with the Winchester 125 Deer Season XP - 4 DRTs thus far on deer right at 200Y. They are accurate and also ~$5 cheaper than the next competitor.

Used that same load to take my first antelope in Wyoming @ 260 yards with my Nosler M48 handgun, DRT. The Nosler loves Winchester ammo, 🤔

For my daughter and when I used the 6.5 Creedmoor, use 143grn Hornady Precision hunter. Another you might want to consider is the Federal fusion 140 grn.

We run 130 to 140 grain bullets. The sst is what we hand. That being said she switched over to the 130 grain Hornady Cx all I can say is wow what a exit hole

My particular rifle shows a preference for bullet weights between 129-140 grains. It will shoot 142 and 143 OK, but seems to group tighter in the 129-140 range of the many factory ammos I have tested.

Every rifle is different. I see Feenix's CM loves Winchester XP 125's. Probably can't beat that in that rifle.

Killed this South Arkansas buck with Norma Whitetail 140 SP last year. I was pleased with the terminal performance and it didn't do the 'internal blender' thing that SST's do when they liquefy the innards (what a mess!). Norma does the damage but doesn't overdo it.

I am looking forward to trying Fiocchi 129 SP's later this season. Haven't had the pleasure yet. But it will have to be a doe, since I am tagged out on Bucks this season.

The 140 TGK is an awesome bullet for the 6.5 cm. I have taken whitetail with that bullet from 60yds out to 300 with great results.

I took a buck at a whopping 50yds on Thanksgiving day this year with a home rolled using the ELDX 143gr bullet. It clipped a front shoulder, hit the heart and made one heck of an exit wound. The heart looked like an M-80 went off in it.

At the range my loads with the eld-x produce solid 3/4" groups, sometimes better. I have the same twist as yours and a 24" barrel.

Ahwww, Yer just spreading that gossip about the Creedmoor being the most lethal cartridge to ever contain gunpowder!
