Interesting, I've shot both, however out of a .223 Rem and in its vel's range, I kind of liked the 65gr GK better I wasn't trying to stretch it out, just tried to keep it within what I thought might be its best performance envelope. I would agree; if I wanted to push out with it, the 69gr would be a little better choice for trajectory and a minute gain in fpe, but... as far as bullet performance for my usage, I'm pretty sold on the 65gr GK with that said... Wasn't try to say the 69gr TMK was better. I was just saying they'd behave similarly after impact. The soft point or large hollow point (depending on the particular GameKing) would potentially change things a bit, but at the end of the day it would usually be hard to truly discern the difference.

So keep using what works for you. I was just adding to what you said is all. It's actually good to add your experience with that GameKing because it just helps add to the numbers of good experiences with that type of bullet in the 223.

So narrow wound channel at further distance. I think it's good close in with high velocity.

No. But, I shot the 85.5 LRHT, amd while groups were insane @ 3096fps, they did not kill like the 77TMK did. Although, to be fair, a prairie dog has very little resistance to open a bullet. I did not get an opportunity to test them on coyotes.

I switched to the 90SMK @ 3095fps and holy cow. Accuracy is just as good as the 85.5 Hyb, and they work great on coyotes and jackrabbits. And thump steel pretty darn good out to 1K.

Thank you for the info. The reason I asked it has been in plan to build a 223 bolt gun to run the 90s. I have 2 reamers for the 90s, the FTR, and the other basically a Wylde with 0.180 FB. When I get over this magnum kick, I'll start on the 223 LR

On my 20 inch service rifles (SR) that I shot at 1000 yards prone matches. Barely above sea level near Houston, my 7T SR is not enough to run the 90s. I ordered 7.5-6.5T gain twist Bartlein, that did it.

I shot one of my better Whitetails with a Sierra 65gr BTSP Gameking. Never used it on deer, but I have to admit I was shocked how the deer dropped. 125 yards behind the shoulder, slightly angling away. Complete penetration and the exit was about the size of a silver dollar.

I really have no idea. It is not the max load for my rifle. Maybe 1500-1600? I would be fine with that. Gotta pay to play.
