2023 Meat Pole

Punched my first of two tags today...not the giant I was hoping for, but a solid tank of a whitetail. Looking forward to hunting with my son for the remainder of the month! My brother snapped the first picture as the buck was chasing his does around...I had a pretty short window to decide to take him as he wasn't slowing down much, so I'm surprised the picture turned out as good as it did, since it was just the "cell phone through the binoculars" scenario! 7mm PRC/175 ELD-X at ~140 yards.
That is a dandy. Congrats.

Looks like everyone's having a good season!

Here's a 4 point Oregon blacktail. With 25-06 at 180 yards.

My son was able to connect after 2nd stalk in Nevada at 520 yards using his cousin's 6.5 creedmore after choosing that ahead of my 6.5-300 weatherby which I'm totally fine with if that's what he felt comfortable with

Finally done hunting in our house. First turkey with a guillotine blade and my, was it effective. Looked like someone did a hemispherectomy on it.
I shot my whitetail buck out in the woods but all my wife had to do was wait for the rut, take a break from dinner prep and step outside to shoot hers in the yard at 25 yards off the deck.

Great bear!! What velocity are you getting with the 180s? Thanks
Thanks! 2760 in a 22" barrel and h4350 powder. Going to revisit with n565 in the off season and see if I can get a node near 2850 and see if my barrel speeds up at all. I needed a quick and accurate setup for hunting season and it worked well for me.
