Creedmoor shooters are just a quiet accuracy minded group of competent shooters who know a jewel when they see one.
It's the insecure haters who bog the internet down with meaningless diatribe, because they missed the cartridge of the century that are truly funny. If they could just stop the babble, they might not miss the ship the next time it comes in. But I doubt it....

I bet you keep a laminated copy of that in your Fanny pack.

I am not sure I would say 6.5 haters as much as I would Creedmoor haters. The 6.5 has always been a wonderful bullet. Read so many articles about the 6.5 before the Creedmoor ever arrived on the seen. I would say the reason for the hate is the Creedmoor showed up and all of a sudden this is the cartridge to end all cartridges. People claimed ridiculous capabilities when the Creedmoor doesn't produce anything better than the Swede the 260 Rem, 264 win mag or the 6.5/06 A square that was already available to the public. This isn.t to mention the wildcats that were available. Shooters just got tired of new shooters picking up the cartridge running to the range and field and claiming that it was this super cartridge that equals what is out there already.

Nailed it 100%. I love 6.5 cartridges but I hate the creedmoor just because I got so tired of people turning their nose up while saying they shoot a creedmoor like it is somehow superior to all the rest when ballistically it falls short of time tested cartridges like the 260Rem,6.5-284, 6.5/06, and 6.5x55

I have absolutely no beef with 6.5 anything. I love ALL FIREARMS

We have enough people who believe we shouldn't own them and are trying to make that happen.

How stupid to fight amongst ourselves over something so stupid on top of that opposition.

So long as your not claiming the 6.5 creed is a half mile elk thumper I say go enjoy your rifle as a free person who is (as of yet) able to do so!!!!!!

That being said…I really do like all my non creedmoor centerfire rifles (at present my battery is .243 win, .257 weatherby, .270 win, .300 win mag, 8x57 mauser, and .358 Norma mag).

I've actually heard such nonsense about the .279 and .280 rem. Point blank to 500 cuz at 400 "it's still going up".

Makes me wonder what my .257 wby does

We have 6.5x55 and .260 Remington, and they work fine, but admit if I were buying now, would get the Creed. Everything I look at now is based on ammo and brass availability. Can always get bullets from Hammer.

I have a lifetime supply of .260 brass.

Saw a few custom rifles lately with gorgeous wood, but uncommon calibers, and then thought, nope, not going there.

Just like 7 mil talk keeps me or more like kept me from owning any 7 mil. Now with a 7-08 AR barrel on order.

Germans figured out the 7mm bullet was superior to all others long time ago.
