25-08 Gets my vote. I would neck up .243 cases. I've always preferred to neck up over down. No neck turning. I also know you are a 6BR guy, 25 BR ,Lapua 6BR Brass, could seat bullets waaaay out and still fit short action. Just a thought.
Great idea, but I need to run the ballistics on running a 6BR with 135gr. Don't think (know) not enough horse power. 6BR works great with 105s, 109s.
You could go into the 6BRA and Dasher, but still light on HP for the weight. If you moved up to the other PRS favorite the 6 Creed, then go to the 25-08.
I wish that the 25wssm worked out, but then you can get a Sherman Wild Cat in .25.
I still think that the best 1/4 bore out there was/is the .257 Bob for slamming deer sized animals!

Never such a thing as overkill but a 25 Creedmoor is moooore than enough for whitetails. Even at half mile ranges it rocks the 131/133/135 bullets. My 25-284 is running at 3200 with a 24" barrel with all three bullets. I've been light loading for local deer hunts at 2900. Great round at 2900 on deer
