257 Ackley Improved or 25-284

Any suggestions, comments, concerns? Barrel length would be 25-26". Looking for something a little different. The 25-284 looks like it has the edge in velocity. But it would be nice just to fireform brass. Any advice/experience would be helpful.

i own two ackleys;one was set up by P.O. Ackley himself(ruger).the other is a pre-64 featherweight.both shoot 3300-3400 fps with 100 grain loads.very accurate and quite deadly.easy to fireform shells..257 roberts shells are readly come by.larry
