Which makes a better scope for hunting out to 500 yards? Steiner or Trijicon? It will be going on a 7mm PRC bolt gun and I like the lowest power setting possible. Leaning towards the Steiner.

Quick look online at the Zeiss and its over $1200. You may have found a good deal on one or a sale somewhere. But at that price why not a used NF nxs. The seem to be selling $1100-$1300 on the forums.

I have 4 of the Meopta's glass is great especially for the price.

I run a couple of Trijicon scopes and they're very solid with great glass and turrets. Made in Japan and not China or the Philippines. Great customer service by both. I like the Credo that EuroOptic is selling for around $730.

I am primarily a Leupold and Nightforce scopes guy. Leupold for hunting and NF for target shooting. But NF has just got too expensive for me.
Between the two SFP scopes listed below, which one would recommend and why?

Use: 600-1400 yards on steel targets with SA cartridges.

Not sure why you want SFP, but if you get a chance, take a look at the Zeiss LRP S3...or S5 if you have the coin. Both are incredible scopes. I really like my S3!

I wouldn't spend the money on the PST with the marked sub-tensioned reticle unless it was FFP.

The Vortex Viper HST 6x-24 has a hash reticle that works better in SFP.

I had thought the Vortex was a FFP but could be wrong, I have moved away from SFP. But as far as glass I would give the edge to Zeiss, did a side by side compare on several other comparable to each other models but between Zeiss, NF and a Vortex Razor. I was going to go Zeiss it was a higher price point. But did wind up getting a deal on the Vortex Razor and I bought that. Vortex has great customer service and the scopes I have tracked well and met my needs for use. I have a couple of Leupolds I like a lot as well, NF has priced me out of their products at this point as well. My use of the scopes are hunting, occasional Long range, shooting and hunting. You have two good choices there., I would lean Zeiss seemed better for my old eyes.
